Playtime on Hungarian dirt road
These are standard Land Rovers. Check out the axle articulation at around 1:10 on the video. Also note the Voluntary Search and Rescue sticker on the Defender.
Been there, done that.

Here are one or two links we have found useful over the years. They are in no special order.

Bessy on the move
It's our own site about our adventures and travels with a motorhome. We were absolute beginners but began to really enjoy the travelling life. Give it a go.
GPS Points of Interest (POI)
Find thousands of places and download the data for your SatNav. There are lots of sites similar to this one. Just search for POI.
Campsites
Excellent Guide to European campsites with more than 25,000 POIs to download for your SatNav.
European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
Make sure you are carrying the card. It entitles you to emergency medical treatment within the EU if you are a resident of an EU country of course.
MagBaz Travels
Barry and Margaret are good friends we met on our travels in Turkey. They have been full-time motorhoming for years. Check out their excellent website for lots of very useful advice. They also have some up-to-date information which I missed in my Travel Tips.
Ferry Booking
There are several sites that can help you find a cheap ferry.
We used to find "aFerry.com" very useful. However their website is very misleading. So bad that we recently booked ourselves and the vehicle on two different ferries at the same time. They would not accept their responsibility and we had to pay for both.
BEWARE of stupid websites.
Yorkshire
The best destination in the UK. The Dales, the beer, the food, friendly folk. And I'm biased of course.
Travel Health
Travel Health online is a useful source of data. You must register, but it's painless.
Destination Guides
We all know Lonely Planet, but here's another one, "Planet Ware" with lots of data and detailed maps.
Weather
Personally I find that the BBC give better forecasts than the locals.
GPS Coordinates EU
This handy site can give you coordinates in several formats for just about anywhere in Europe by simply clicking on a map. Many other useful features.
Goggle Earth
A very useful tool for the traveller. Is the campsite really next to the beach? Just have a look. You may find that it is also situated between the busiest road in the country and the main rail line. It's only thanks to Google Earth we can look ahead. Amazing.
